Learn More = Achieve More!
Over ten years ago, when I was a full-time student, I remember being completely captivated by my favourite professors as they lectured, often holding my attention for three hours at a time. I was passionate and loved analyzing, discussing and considering new ideas and perspectives. And then I started working.
I quickly realized that in the “real world” (as many people referred to it) there was little room and time for idealistic perspectives. “It’s time to get down to work” or “just do your job” were phrases I heard frequently. Can anyone identify?
I wasn’t satisfied with my learning being confined within my job description so I continued with my education and focused on developing my career. During this time, it was all of my extra curricular reading and activities that met my need for passion and learning and I continued to grow as an individual.
“The wisest mind has something yet to learn.”
George Santayana
I ask you – has your learning plateaued? Does your job reflect who you are? Do you have more that you want to say and do in the world? Are you itching for something new in your life? Do you want to” use your brain” again?
You don’t necessarily have to change your job – at least right now… but maybe you do need to learn something new. Develop a skill or get involved in a hobby. Download an inspirational ebook or join a book club to meet new people that are like-minded.
Set yourself up for success by expanding your knowledge, skills and abilities.
If you want an interesting life, become an interesting person!
Get interested in the world and other people around you! Quickly, you will begin to see results!
Best wishes to you today!

Get Away & Get a Plan Retreat in the Dominican Republic
Are you afraid of change?
Change is inevitable. The four seasons are great illustrators of change and remind us of our lack of control in the never-ending change process. We all know that we can’t stop time but it doesn’t keep us from trying by holding on tightly to the bitter end. Us patio lovers gather for as long as possible until the snow eventually drives us inside.
Last week, while I was planning to return to the Dominican Republic, I procrastinated until the very last minute to pack. Not sure exactly what I was waiting for… I was excited to go back, who wouldn’t? It is a tropical paradise and I have a lot to come back for! But I couldn´t bring myself to load up my stuff, say goodbye to my loved ones and jump yet again into the unknown that is always paired with change.
Addictions like overeating, overspending, overdrinking? What about excessive cleaning or complaining about unrelated things? Do you snap at people or completely tune out when something is changing in your life? Do you get stressed out?

Change your life by December! Join the Goals Group!
You are tired of making excuses and have made the decision that now is the time to clarify, commit to and realize your dreams! You are ready to let go of your fears and live your life authentically. You are ready to have your dream relationship, career, weight – life!
Why does Weight Watchers work?
Accountability!
We all have dreams of the way we want our lives to be. More of this, less of that and things we want to accomplish. But why isn’t it happening? Or fast enough?
Over the last five weeks while being in Canada visiting with friends and family, I have been able to catch up and hear the latest news and gossip! It has been great!! I have also heard people wanting to lose weight, change jobs, get healthy, grow their business, find passion in their lives and find a perfect mate!
While sharing my adventures and experiences of living in the Dominican Republic, people are a still a little uncertain of what I do professionally. Life coaching is a fairly new concept but it is building momentum all over the world!
Coaching is similiar to the Weight Watchers model. Why do people sign up for Weight Watchers? Because they are ready to lose weight and take action. Why does Weight Watchers work? Because there is accountability. People have to weigh in each week and meet with a counsellor to discuss their progress. Closer to weigh-in-day people are aware of their actions, they may eat less and exercise more, so as not to disappoint the counsellor, feel embarrassed or more importantly not to feel like they have let themselves down.
Weight Watchers works because people are held accountable to their goals. That is what I do. A coaching relationship works the same way, you have a goal and idea of what you want your life to be like and our weekly meetings hold you accountable to that goal. I provide support, tips and techniques to help you remain motivated and on track to attaining your goal.
Here are some success stories from people who have used Weight Watchers! That can be you! You can have what you want!
Creating a life you love is an ongoing journey, there is so much to learn along the way but doing the same thing and expecting new results will not work.
My goal is to help people create a life they love. I am deeply passionate about this goal. And I am accountable to the people I connect with every day to inspire them by following my own dreams. Yes, it can be challenging and scary but what is a life without dreams?
Best wishes to you today!

Need a Career Change? Maybe not.
Are you ready for a change in your career?
Do you get up each day dragging yourself to your cubicle or your workstation wherever that may be and suffer through the day?
That feels terrible!!! I know I have definitely been there. Most of us can identify with staying in a job just for the money but doing that brings desperation, sadness and let’s face it – you feel stuck and don’t know how to get out!
Sometimes we change our job thinking that the new job is going to bring us happiness and fulfill all of our dreams, and it may for a little while. But a few months later we find ourselves wanting more change or yet again a better job.
A new job will not bring you complete happiness or personal fulfillment. It is how you approach the job, the people, tasks, the way you live your life outside of your job that will bring happiness and fulfillment.
Getting a new job that is aligned with your passion, interests, skills and talents is fantastic and is possible!! I wish for you these things in your career but try to focus on how you do things rather than what you do in your job and you might find that your current job actually isn’t so bad after all. And if you still want to change your job, you will be operating from a much more positive place and the greatest job will land in your lap!
Best wishes to you today as you work through this Friday!

Don’t Give Up!
It is funny that when you find yourself questioning things, like “How did I get here?” and “Am I going in the right direction?” The answer sometimes come to you in weird ways…
I am not overly religious but I am spiritual and on Sunday morning I was admittedly feeling a little doubtful of my path and where I was going. My life would be a lot easier if I didn’t have all of this passion and these ideas. So I sat there in doubt facing the fact that maybe I need to do things differently.
Over the years on Sunday mornings, my parents have regularly tuned into the Joel Osteen program. When I am home visiting I confess I don’t listen too closely but facing what I was facing I decided to sit down and follow this instinct to tune in to the program.
And do you know what his message was?
“You are closer than you think!”
Just writing this now – I am getting goosebumps! I proceeded to cry tears of gratitude as I wrote down his words that spoke deeply to me.
So to those of you who are questioning your direction and are ready to give up on something that you believe and desire in your life – consider that you may be closer than you think!
Follow your heart & it will lead you closer to your dream!!
Since receiving that message (believe it or not), I have made some contacts that are aligned with my mission and people have openly shared with me their enthusiasm and interest about my passion and intentions.
So, I have decided not to give up – I am going to continue down this path with faith, trust, hope and patience. Trust Yourself!
