Be Radiant! Trust Feeling Good

Be Radiant! Trust Feeling Good

When you follow your heart, you trust your deeper intuitive self. You show love to yourself and to others.

The physical reaction when following your heart is like a glowing white light beaming in all directions from you but concentrated from your chest—your heart.

Time disappears and all is radiant. You feel peace and joy. Our egos usually talk us out of something because of fear of the unknown, but our hearts always lead us to what we truly desire.

When you follow your heart and receive its desires, you will feel good—really good! Therefore, trust what feels good in your heart and use this feeling as guidance; this “feeling good” is aligned with our hearts and our life purpose.

Experience Perfection

Experience Perfection

Get to know who you are and what you want!

“Embrace your uniqueness. Time is much too short to be living someone else’s life.” ~ Kobi Yamada  Perfect moments are when you are truly present in the moment, when nothing is missing and nothing could be added to make the moment better. You feel bliss. It is selfless; you don’t need to do or be anything different. You feel slightly removed, non-attached, you just witness it.

The purposes of this following exercise is to really identify those times when you are the most happy and blissful and to be aware of how your body feels when you are happy! Try this activity:

Can you think of a perfect moment? A moment when time stopped and all was blissful? Write it down and then close your eyes again and remember the way your body felt when you were in this moment.

When you have at least 5 happy and peaceful moments – open your eyes. And look over your list. When reviewing your list, see if there is any relationship between them.

Let’s extract some more happy, feel good information from your life. Ask yourself the following questions and record your reaction in your journal.

  • What makes me feel good? What fills me up?
  • When am I the most energetic?
  • When am I happiest?
  • How are my relationships and daily experiences affected when I am happy?

Record any insights that you have and write down anything else that you can think of that makes you happy. Often after completing the exercise, people find that they have experienced “more happy moments than I had thought!” Delicious meals, special moments with children or animals, the thrill of overcoming a challenge –are all things that people begin to add to their happy lists.

I remember one woman at a retreat I co-facilitated sharing her joy about taking a bubbling apple crisp out of the oven and how the sweet smell spread through the kitchen as she lifted the first portion onto her plate. She oozed joy when she shared this memory! We all agreed that these simple experiences are within our reach and experienced every day.

How do you feel so far? Record these ideas or insights in your journal. Next open up your daytimer and consider how you can incorporate some of these happy items into your schedule over the next day, week, month and year.

When you begin to collect items for your happy list, try not to eliminate items because they occurred on your wedding day or the day your child was born or the day you hit your first homerun, these special events cannot be recreated. If you can, try to extract the feeling of what was happening in that special moment, remember it isn’t the event you are looking to recreate but the feeling you felt being with the people at the event. Maybe it is time to call and rekindle some friendships or simply just connect with a loved one. Or maybe picking up a favourite activity again, it can be as simple as that!

Commit to creating happy moments in your life by deliberately setting an intention and making an appointment with yourself to do it! Your daytimer may have entries for going to the gym, going to an art class, booking a girls weekend, calling your old best friend from school, planning and working in your garden or cooking your favourite recipe, or volunteering etc.

Aligning your behaviour with your ideal life happens one choice at a time, one moment at a time. Getting in touch with what feels good in the present moment helps motivate us to make healthy choices each day.

Knowing what makes us happy helps us gain clarity and choose more of these happy activities to add into our routines. So review your “Happy List” regularly and choose more activities to add to your day that are on this list!

By recognizing the positive effects of making mindful choices, we become motivated to choose happiness and to feel good! And choosing happiness and feeling good are behaviours that are aligned with our ideal life! Great work!

What do you feed your dreams?

What do you feed your dreams?

“Be careful what you water your dreams with. Water them with worry and fear and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream. Water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success. Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success. Always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream.” ~ Lao Tzu

Imagine approaching each day with the perspective of expectance of possibility and success. How different would your life be if your went out into the world each day expecting that your dreams will be supported and fulfilled and that each moment has the potential to lead you closer to your heart’s truest desires?

However, few live with this sense of wonderment and faith because we often complain to ourselves (and usually everyone around you) that we have to do this or do that and can’t do what we really want etc. But I ask you – how much time do you waste wishing your life was different? The sad news transforms and becomes even empowering once it is accepted that – Wishing for change is wasting time!

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” ~ Albert Einstein

(I am guessing) You aren’t insane so try something different – Create a vision – clarify, declare and plan to get what you want! Stop wishing and start planning and nurturing your dreams.

Enjoy the process!

Be Open to the Magic!

Be Open to the Magic!

This afternoon I listened to my aunt who was visiting from Nova Scotia talk about a trip she made to the Northwest Territories and her adventure when she tagged along with my uncle to attend business meetings one afternoon.

They flew into the tiny settlement by air and when they walked off the plane, almost immediately she was whisked away by a chaperon. She bubbled with enthusiasm as she remembered the feeling of being offered a cozy spot on the back of a snowmobile or to ride the contraption or sled being pulled behind.

She pulled on her weather gear and recalled her excitement as she tentatively stood behind the snowmobile being lead off into the snowy white terrain. Her body moved slightly back and forth as she remembered the shifting of her body on the sled. She described the crispness of the cold air and the blueness of the sky.

She spoke of the snow sparkling and how up until that moment didn’t really grasp the trueness of those words – “it was like a dusting of diamonds.”

She didn’t know how she was going to spend the time that afternoon when her husband, my uncle was in his meetings, and it didn’t matter, the chaperon had it all planned.

There is nothing more spectacular about the excitement of surrendering and being in the wonderment of the unfolding of each moment. My aunt took me there with her words and I felt her exhilaration – I could almost see her breathe in the frigid air and the lightness she felt throughout her being.

And as my coaching client succinctly said this evening, “When you say yes, the world opens up!

How wonderful and true!

Enjoy the process! Embrace your life!

Be open and get out of your rut!

Be open and get out of your rut!

When you are in a rut it means that what you are doing is no longer working, at least for right now.

A great way to get started on the climb out of the rut is to immerse yourself in one or a couple of great books. Visit a bookstore or library and enter with the intention that you are open to receiving new ideas and then take your time wandering through the aisles. Let the books find you and record their messages. Check the community bulletin board and scan for any interesting workshops or courses in your area. Be lead by the messages that present themselves to you. Trust it!

Change starts from becoming aware and modifying our own behaviour. We all know how impossible it is to change someone else, so don’t even go there and begin by focusing on yourself, the chances of success are much greater! Access your resources; there is an abundance of information and people ready to inspire you!

Enjoy the journey! And Embrace Your Life!

Let music soothe and lift your spirit!

Let music soothe and lift your spirit!

We can all identify with this scenario: a certain song comes on the radio and immediately we travel back to the moment where we danced joyfully under the stars or in the rain or drove on an open road feeling the warm wind or felt the security of a loving embrace.

Music can take us to wherever we want to go. If you are struggling with change right now or simply enjoying the ride as life unfolds, I encourage you to find some music that suits your mood and get lost for a while. Dance, cry, laugh! When you hear the music in the future, you will be able to remember this time as an important part of your journey. Enjoy!

Embrace Your Life!

Wishing you love and peace!
